What’s difference between that and a Thinkpad or it’s same thing? I am looking to get new laptop myself, don’t care much for gaming (only play OSRS). Heard good things about Thinkpad (used one in college too) and XPS.

Depends on your budget, if 1k-1.5k usd legion y740, some of the asus zephyrus and TUF line, are all good and well worth their price if you're willing to spend on quality.
